Doh

I opened a Goth-Industrial Bar and all I got was this...ink pen?...DOH!

Now that the utilities are closed out on GX I am tackling the end of year paper work. Soon to be followed with taxes.

I know you are in envy of my filing system shown above. It is very high tech and takes a lot of training to master. The wearing of house shoes and leg warmers are a requirement when using such scientific methods.

Now watching: Farscape season 1
mood: either all you can eat pancakes or some of K's best tacos in the world. Maybe both. Tacos and pancakes....mmmm.

PS Next Greek Night is scheduled for March 7, 2009 @ Galloway Station

Goodbye GX

(Marius of Cynergy 67, Me, and the Husband Person, last night at GX, pic by Vicky)

GX is closed, packed into boxes, and stored in my house with big thanks to our close friends who helped make it all happen. I will refrain from sappy thanks, etc. I just don't have it in me.

Everything is packed, cleared away, and like a dream.

Hey, remember that "Gingerbread Coffin" costume I made? I used the scraps to convert it into a complete dress. Go me!

Holidaze

I was lucky enough to see Beth, Angela, Jemina, KC, and Lisa a little over a week ago. They came into GX to have some drinks after the Christmas Hafla at Alive and Well. We talked about blogging, current BD interests, and old school dancers and their stories. Jemina tried talking me into going to Ya Halla Yall 2009. And if I had had more cocktails in me I probably would have agreed right there. It was so nice to hang out. I have really been out of the local BD loop for so long.

As for this last week of 2008, there will be Christmas with the in-laws followed by 2 shows before we have to break everything down and close shop at GX. I also plan to get some long awaited new jewelry with my gift monies ASAFP. With GX being closed I plan on having more time, (not money) but definitely more time for BD again. But you know how that goes. How long ago did I promise part 2 of that costume blog?

Wishing everyone a safe holiday

Just a Reminder

(Click for full size)

Lip Sync contest this Saturday at Ground Xero.

I requested Diamonds and Rust from my sister a few months ago. She posted it for my B-day even though she has a cold. Yea!
I used to yell at her for singing along to the radio in the car when she was little. Good thing she didn't listen.

A Day in the Life of...

Now playing: M. Night Shyamalan's The Village
mood: cheesecake and Oreos

Yea! Bellydance pics on a bellydance blog. There's a concept. Ananya and I car pooled to Global Dance Collective's 1yr. Anniversary on Saturday. I remembered to take my camera. Only about half of the pics I took came out. The rest were all blurry. The view screen on the back of my camera is going out. If you guys would just pitch in and buy me a new camera I promise I would take more BD pics.

Amira and the cutest Little Egypt Costume ever...

Then we headed back to GX for DJ Darkboy's bday party. First we made him wear a blue tiara with marabou trim.

Then we gave him a cake that looked like a butt.

Then we all had a piece of ass

If you are ever stumped on what kind of gift to get someone, you can never go wrong with zombies...

Box o' Zombie
"Hey stop trying to take pictures of me!"

"I'll just do this so you can't see me."
"AAAAHHHH! DON'T TOUCH ME THERE!"
"I don't like you anymore."
"Heh, Heh, Heh..."
More crochet

Mouse toy, has been tossed around on the floor a bit.
