Can a country have a conscious shift?

"Can a country have a conscious shift?" I heard this on the news this morning. An interesting question to ponder today.

I am tuned in on msnbc.com listening to newscaster chatter until Barak Obama's inauguration. (It's funny, the spellcheck doesn't recognize Barak Obama's name. I wonder how long it will be until his name is part of the built in spelling checks in computer software.)

Swearing in will be around Noon Est/11am CST. I am excited to witness this. I hope you are too!
